Before HDQ moved to enterprise Ai, I spent years on the security side of this work: hardening Microsoft 365, cleaning up after break-ins, and explaining to owners how a single click had just emptied their account. I wrote a book about it, called How To F#ck A Business With One Click. The title is not an exaggeration.
What's in it
It's short, and it's written for owners rather than IT people. It covers the attacks Australian businesses actually get hit with, and what a small one costs you once you add up the downtime, the money and the awkward phone calls to customers. Most of them are stopped by a handful of unglamorous habits, and those are in there too.
Why it's free
Because it's the easiest way for you to work out whether we're worth talking to. Read it, use it, and if we never speak again you're still better off than you were. There's no obligation to buy anything from us, ever.
What this has to do with Ai
HDQ is an enterprise-Ai consultancy now. We work with manufacturers, getting the know-how out of their people's heads and putting Ai to work on it.
The security years are where that came from. Fourteen years of hardening systems and mapping how a business actually runs is what taught us the groundwork Ai needs before it's any use to anyone. Newer tools, same discipline. The book is a fair sample of how we think and how we talk, which is really what you're trying to find out.
Who I am
I'm Greg Hill, founder of HDQ. I started the business in 2012 and I've spent most of it being the person Australian businesses ring when a system has to actually work.
You'll find me on LinkedIn, and HDQ is there too. I speak at events as well, in person or online, if that's any use to you.
